For sale by the Original Owner of 44 years, and at the same farm, is a beautiful 1980 Chevrolet Scottsdale K20 Custom Deluxe, Trailering Special Edition Pickup named "Old Brown". This is a near perfect example of the eduring square bodied styling and rugged reliability of what is now considered iconic in the realm of classic trucks. Enjoy the pics and video links at bottom of page.

$34,999 get’s this fully restored, rust free beauty thats needs nothing. Local in person sale only. Title / Bill of Sale in hand along with orginal sales manual, presale inspection sheet, all keys, and 44 years of service records included. Stored inside it’s entire life. The original wheels and center caps are available. Under 36,000 miles on the original odometer plus 2 turn overs! 236,000 miles and going strong.

Custom ordered in 1979 by my very particualr Father in Law, he selected nearly every box on the options order list. (See build photo} Being it was going to be a farm workhorse he most notably opted for the 6.6 liter 400 small block motor / 4 barrel carb / turbo 400 transmission and the 13,000 lb trailering special edition suspension. The Scottsdale Badge was the top tier of the day, and thus made a luxury ride commuting to town. LOADED with extra options: Solid paint, sliding rear window, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, auxillary (2nd) fuel tank, vinyl interior, tinted glass, extended camper mirrors, 16.5 wheel package, stereo etc. The truck was the workhorse of the farm as it was used to pull grain wagons to town, shuttle bean walkers to the fields and carry seed for spring planting. Many a family vacation with boat in tow were taken in old Brown.

YES1980 meaning Yes, It’s a 1980 has been the license plate since the truck was fully restored to “As New” back in 2008. It was a three year project starting with a complete rebuild of the Original and rare 6.6 liter 400 CID Small block motor famous for being a torque monster. A straight and rust free bed sourced from Texas was mounted along with all New heavy duty suspension components, New dual exhuast, and Any / Everything the truck needed to be Professionally restored and painted by a reputable local body shop. No reasonable expense was spared. There’s only been 10,000 easy miles driven the past 20 years with zero winters and rarely a rain drop. Notibly, the 400 small block was only offered for 10 years, 1980 being the final year. Lastly, the 1980 truck is a one year only rendition of the flatter front grill and square headlight / marker light stack.

Old Brown not only looks great but runs amazing. It starts quick with zero smoke. The motor runs smooth and quiet as it should and doesn’t burn any oil. New $perry heads were spec'd then built and installed in 2015. The dual exhaust rumbles softly in perfect unison. It drives and brakes straight and true. EVERYTHING works 100%. The A/C blows cold. The 44 year old stereo still plays well, but distorts upon moving the volume from dirty contacts. No other known issues what so ever… or they would have been addressed. That’s how he rolls.

The Truck is located on the home farm a few miles South of Vinton directly off the highway. It can be shown days / eves by appointment. Here’s your chance to own and immediately enjoy a rare and iconic classic truck that doesn’t need a full restore. The 1956 Chevy in the background is Not for Sale. It’s his first car, true love and family heirloom. :-)
