Our charming antique pie safe's original purpose was to preserve the freshness of baked goods and was purchesed from the very first Sears store in the 1920s, with a possible production dating back to the 1800s! Ordered by catalogue and shipped on a train to provide functional storage and serve as a beautiful, rustic kitchen centerpiece. It features hand carved red oak, with double doors on top and bottom, separated by 3 drawers. All original hardware and shelves, key to both sets of doors included.
